This virtual gallery is essentially a `work in progress´ exhibition of Black & White photographs taken, since 1998, throughout the remote area of Northern India´s Ladakh region, by English photographer Michael Marchant.

The gallery will be regularly added to, thus giving you an ongoing opportunity to view many aspects of year-round daily life in the towns, villages, monasteries and nomadic areas of Ladakh, and most importantly, a closer look at the people of this unique Himalayan kingdom on the Indo-Tibetan plateau.
